Twelve Eight-Bar Exercises in 12/8 to Stave Off Cabin Fever

These are twelve exercises designed to help you get better at drumming! As the title suggests, they are all eight measures long and in 12/8 time, which means they are all the same length and have roughly similar feels. Because of this, the same set of accompanying grooves can be used for every exercise. I am providing two sets of play-along recordings so you can experience these exercises in a more musical and groovy context! Each track covers six repetitions of an exercise at a given tempo and has you play along to a slightly different groove each repetition. There is a separate track for each of twenty tempo markings from 88–240 BPM, and there is one set of recordings with a half time feel for faster tempi and one set of recordings with a more straightforward feel.
